Life is not a race you can win —
but you can prove you're ready for it.

Prepare
Train for the race. Train for life.
They are the same thing. The movements you master here are the ones that keep you strong, independent, and ready for everything ahead.
Prove
One number. Your proof.
Your Life.Race.Score is age-adjusted — a 54-year-old can outscore a 30-year-old. Because readiness is not about age. It's about showing up.
Live
Every incredible moment.
The mountains, the grandchildren, the spontaneous trips, the long nights. The moments that make you glad you showed up. This is what you trained for.
The event

A race.
An event.
A community.

Life.Race Vienna takes place in one of the city's best functional fitness gyms. Not a standard race day — a boutique festival. Intimate, high-energy, and built around people who believe in showing up fully.

Vienna's best gym
A premium functional fitness venue — not a warehouse, not a sports hall. A space that matches the ambition of the people in it.
Nutrition & drinks
Our founding partners provide recovery nutrition, functional drinks, and health products. You finish the race and everything you need is waiting.
Music & energy
A curated race-day set — not a playlist. Designed to carry you through eight stations and out the other side feeling alive.
Boutique community
Small waves. Personal atmosphere. You know the people around you by the end of the morning. That is the Life.Race difference.
Your Life.Race.Score
Calculated after the event and sent to you personally. Yours to track, improve, and bring back better next time.
The 8 stations
S1
Dead Hang
Grip strength is what keeps you independent. Carrying bags, holding on, staying strong for the long haul.
S2
KB Swing
Hip power. The engine behind walking, climbing, and everything that keeps you moving through life.
S3
Balance Board
Balance is what stops you falling. On a mountain, on ice, anywhere life puts you off centre.
S4
Med Ball Throw
Core power and fast reactions. The capacity to respond quickly when it matters most.
S5
Farmer's Carry
Life requires carrying things. Luggage, shopping, children. Under load, over distance, without stopping.
S6
Step-Up to Box
Single-leg strength. Stairs, trails, hills — one leg at a time, exactly as life requires.
S7
Reaction Grid
Sharp reactions keep you safe. Driving, catching, responding in the moments that count.
S8
Burpees
Because life asks you to keep going when you're exhausted. Getting up is the skill. Always.
Why these movements
We didn't choose these eight stations randomly. Each one targets a physical quality that research consistently links to how well — and how long — people live. Not because Life.Race is a medical test. Because we believe a race should mean something beyond the finish line.
Grip strength
The single strongest predictor of all-cause mortality across all age groups. Every meaningful decline in grip strength is associated with significantly higher risk of premature death. Tested in the dead hang and farmer's carry.
Balance & stability
Balance begins declining at 40 and accelerates rapidly. Falls are the leading cause of injury-related death in adults over 65. The balance board tests proprioception — the sense that keeps you upright when the world shifts beneath you.
Leg strength & power
Quadriceps strength predicts functional independence well into old age. The ability to rise from a chair, climb stairs, and recover from a stumble all depend on what the step-up and KB swing demand of you here.
Cardiovascular fitness
Aerobic capacity is a stronger predictor of longevity than smoking status, BMI, or blood pressure. The movement between stations and the burpee finisher test how efficiently your body recovers under sustained load.
Cognitive-motor coupling
Reaction speed combined with movement declines sharply after 45 and is almost never trained. The Blazepod reaction grid tests something most races ignore entirely — and it predicts real-world safety better than almost any isolated physical measure.
Core & explosive power
Anti-flexion core strength protects the spine — the leading cause of disability worldwide is lower back pain. Explosive upper body power, tested in the med ball throw, is the fast-twitch capacity that declines fastest with age.
